Helen Bricker, Patriot Academy Alumnus
This is going to be a short article. There is not much that can even be said about what I am going to tell you about. Brace yourself.
Abortion is at the forefront of the political war right now.
I have been amazed at how heated it has gotten recently in all forms of media out there.
I came across a sketch on my social media account that was posted by none other than the actor Jim Carrey (who I personally have never been a fan of but now am most certainly not).
The sketch graphically portrays the horrific procedure of abortion of an infant inside the womb. A caricature of the face of Alabama’s Governor Kay Ivey is superimposed on the face of the unborn infant. The caption from Jim Carrey chillingly reads: “I think If you’re going to terminate a pregnancy, it should be done sometime before the fetus becomes Governor of Alabama.”
Now, when I saw this sketch I felt my insides squirm. But I also think it brings up an interesting point.
Here the actor shares an imagine of the Alabama Governor who passed the new anti-abortion law that all but outlaws abortion in the state of Alabama in the form of a baby in the womb being murdered.
Side note: thank you Mrs. Governor for your stand for Life!
What I find sickly humorous about this, is that this actor basically admits, though probably unintentionally, that abortion IS in fact murder. Even though every single left-wing activist claims it is a “clump of cells” or a “fetus” or “mass”. He is basically saying he wants the DEATH of the Governor of Alabama.
Now I don’t know about you, but that is pretty scary, and also enlightening.
The left cannot deny that abortion is murder no matter HOW hard they try to downplay it, marginalize it, politicize it, and neutralize it. Mr. Carrey not only took a terrible stand against life, criticized a woman who supports life, shared a terrible image, but also acknowledged abortion is in fact murder.
Let us pray that people who are so blind about the horrors of abortion in our country will have their eyes opened and find the hope of Christ.
