We asked Leadership Congress students to share their experience at a Leadership Congress. Every year, we get hundreds of testimonies, spoken and written, about how much our students grew and were impacted during a Leadership Congress with us. Rocky Mountain Leadership Congress
“When I first got the email about the Patriot Academy Leadership Congress I wasn’t sure about if I wanted to attend but I felt a soft voice coming from God telling me to attend, so I did. PA Leadership Congress is one of the best programs I have ever attended. It brought my relationship close to God, and I met friends and got to experience dealing with legislation first hand.” (Lyle, RMLC)
SouthEast Leadership Congress
“My experience at the Southeast Leadership Congress was unforgettable! I was nervous at first to introduce myself to people I’d never met, but I was amazed by the kindness of the Patriot Academy staff and interns. I learned so much about the legislative process: how to draft a bill and present it to my committee, as well as presenting and debating on the Senate Floor. I greatly enjoyed working with the other “Representatives” and “Senators” and getting their support to “work the floor” for me. One of my favorite workshops was the “Leader’s Edge,” in which we learned how to communicate effectively. I am continuing to work on my communication skills even after arriving home.” (Giana, SELC)
“The Southeast Leadership Congress was an amazing growth experience and it was incredible to learn so much about our nation. I felt inspired to take action in saving our nation from destruction. The speakers were fantastic and I felt encouraged by all the young patriots around me!” (Abbagael, SELC)
“Through attending a Leadership Congress, I learned valuable information about current issues, campaigning strategies, and why preserving liberty and morality matters from the gifted speakers there. I have often been inspired to stand up for what is right, but I now have the knowledge and confidence to do it. I enjoyed Leadership Congress so much and am now much more interested in state and local politics! Northeast Leadership Congress
“I wasn’t into politics when I came. I wanted to be a novelist, not go into government. But coming to LC did so much more than introduce me to politics. I grew as a person, learned how to debate with grace and respect, grew in my public speaking skills, and made lasting connections with strong young people. I feel more equipped to be a leader in my community more than I ever could have been doing something else. LC is a place to connect with like minded young people, learn the basics of government, and learn how to be a godly leader in your community regardless of what sphere of influence you are from. I encourage every teenager and young adult I know to come to LC. It changed my life.” (Carly, NELC)
Midwest Leadership Congress
“Patriot Academy’s Midwest Leadership Congress taught me so much about Communication, Connection, and Character. The Legislative Process is engaging and fast-paced. National Leadership Congress

“This year was my first year ever attending any National LC. That one week was beyond doubt one of the best weeks of my life. I met so many different people, and built so many relationships. Not only that, but my communication skills have been sharpened, trimmed, and developed further. I was able to thoroughly learn the process of how a bill gets through committee and how to lay out and debate a bill on the house floor. Throughout this experience I was constantly challenged and inspired to communicate the truth in a way that doesn’t cause division and resolves conflicts with grace. In the future, I plan to run for public office, even state or federal legislature one day, and I will pledge to defend the constitution and uphold the principles upon which America was built. Because of Patriot Academy and the support of faithful donors, I am now able to receive the training needed to accomplish these goals” (Daniel, NLC)
